What is it about?
Geocaching is a world-renowned game that involves finding hidden caches using GPS. We have transformed it into a team-building game called “Geozbieracze” (lit. GeoCollectors), where each team is given a GPS device with the coordinates of the caches. Depending on the game mode, the winning team is either the one that finds and opens the most caches within a time limit, or the first to complete their route from the first cache to the last. It may sound simple, but it’s packed with fun – read on 🙂
Joy of exploration and discovery
What makes this game truly special is the joy of discovery. The GPS doesn’t show the exact cache location like Google Maps—it only gives you the distance to the target and the direction you need to go, as shown in the photo gallery.
To make things easier, you’ll also get a clue—something like “12 steps from the old oak tree.” Once your team reaches the general area, everyone jumps into the search. And when someone finally spots the cleverly hidden vial or box, get ready for shouts of excitement.
We also hide our caches in interesting spots—near age-old trees, in scenic valleys, or on wild beaches you’d never normally find. That way, visiting groups not only have fun but also get to explore and discover the area along the way.
Escape-room like puzzles
To raise the level of challenge—and fun—some caches are cleverly locked. Opening them requires teamwork or solving logical puzzles. That’s where creativity, sharp eyes, and collaboration really come into play.
Other caches are smartly camouflaged, so expect things like hollow tree trunks, fake rocks, or rubber birds quietly perched on branches. Nothing is quite what it seems!
Poznań or out-of-town
The best locations for the game are green areas with varied terrain. Our go-to game board is Poznań’s Citadel Park, where at times the experience feels more like mountain trekking.
