The colourful Old Market Square in Poznań used to be the cultural, political and economic centre of life in the city. Today it is no. 1 travel destination drawing crowds of tourists every year. On this guided tour you are going to discover its corners and stories hidden in buildings, decorations and statues.

 

What’s on the itinerary?

  • The Town Hall – a 16th century masterpiece dubbed “the most beautiful Renaissance building north of the Alps”
  • 16th century whipping pole
  • The famous Poznań billy goats – only at noon. This is no 1. symbol of Poznań.
  • Palaces at the Square
  • A true gem of Baroque – the former Jesuit Church today called the “Parish Church” and the adjacent former Jesuit collage
  • The Royal Castle* – the only official viewpoint in the Old Town

Sweet treat at the end

If you get tired after 2 hours of walking (tourists usually do), we recommend a sweet treat – a coffee break with St. Martin croissant – our local and traditional specialty. The coffee break will take place in a cosy cafe located at the former Jesuit complex.
