The Poznań QR Code City Game is three in one: exploring the city, utilizing multimedia, and team competition. The game involves searching for specific locations in the Old Market Square and scanning the assigned QR codes. The codes unlock a page with a task to complete. The tasks are of various kinds: mathematical, logical, finding inscriptions, and even taking photos and selfies. Successfully completing a task provides the access password for the next task – so no shortcuts are allowed!
Smartphone or tablet is all you need!
The game requires the use of online technology, i.e., separate websites for each location. Participation in the game requires at least one smartphone or tablet with internet access for a minimum of 5 people. Given the prevalence of smartphones today and the very low prices of portable internet, the game is relatively inexpensive and widely accessible.

The use of multimedia in the individual tasks greatly enriches the experience of exploring the city.
