What is the game about?
Imagine you send your application to become the next CEO of Old Brewery. You meet Alfons Hugger, the owner, who will lead the recruitment process. He will divide you into teams of 5, and send you to 13 locations, each one with a challenge. Using a map with QR codes and your smartphone, you will take intriguing photos, film videos and solve other riddles testing all the skills needed to head a brewery of this size. The first team to complete all the tasks will be the winners.
You will explore the Old Brewery - the icon of Poznań.
The Old Brewery shopping mall is a true city icon and a pride for Posnanians. Formerly a 19th c. brewery, now neatly adapted, it is a reminder of the city’s brewing tradition. What makes it unique is its fancy 19th c. industrial architecture and the exhibition of equally fancy works of art. You will explore the most interesting ones during our game.
Indoor game for all weather
The game takes place mostly indoors, which makes it a great pick for winter/autumn company outings when poor weather and early sunsets make outdoor games rather a poor experience.
Team-building and competition
Remember, you are in a recruitment process, so prepare for competition. The teams will face the same challenges, with the winning team becoming the new bosses of Old Brewery. Such a prospect gives a true motivational boost, especially when employees are competing against their true bosses. All in all, regardless of who wins, it is the game experience, the joy of discovering and the team spirit that ultimately counts.
All you need is a smartphone
The Bosses of Old Brewery game is based on QR codes that you scan with your smartphone. The game process is: you scan a QR code from a paper map, you read the description and challenge details, you complete the challenge, you get a password opening the next QR code. From time to time you contact Alfons Hugger, who keeps a close watch of your progress. You will use lots of multimedia: photos and video recordings enhanced with real-life props.
